Cats on Appletrees

Hi Everyone, it's that time of the year, where you need copious amounts of thank you cards... so I figured, I better get started. This one is very quick: I used those cute animals from  Cats on Appletrees , which my daughter got me in the fall. They stack up nicely and all you need is ink that covers well. I did that with my brand new Catherine Pooler inks, but I have also done that with distress oxide ink, which works just as well. I masked them and sponged with distress oxide ink. The advantage of the Catherine Pooler ink is, that it does not react with the oxide ink and the colors stay true. Added Washi tape, the thank you (The Ton) and then I decided to use some enamel dot - bottom card - I think its better with them. Happy Stamping! Goodbye Tension

Hi Everyone, one of my favorite clerks at work is retiring and you know what that means - I needed a card for her. That flamingo from Your Next Stamp is  my favorite for that. I just love his expression. I used the colors and ind of the sketch from YNS current challenge to get me started. Used an embossing folder as background and colored with water brush pens. Added some sequins. I love that hilarious sentiment. Can't wait for my own retirement... Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Your Next Stamp  - see below

Silent Night with Stampotique

Hi Everyone, I saw something similar out there in Blogland and can't remember where, but I  thought this would work great with those cute little  Stampotique houses . And it does !!! The sentiment I made with the Alpha Background stamp . The snow is embossing paste with a Simon Says stencil and the stars are die cuts (Memory Box). I colored the houses with Prismacolor pencils. Totally in love with this card! Also don't forget -  the current challenge theme is   " Christmas ". There is still plenty of time to play along! Party Birds

Hi Everyone, I thought I take a break from card making, but then LIM asked for birds for their current challenge and I had to play along. How can I resist that theme.... For now I am sick and tired of Christmas cards - don't you feel the same way??? So I made a general card  - suitable for any kind of celebration. I took my Katzelkraft birds and made them hold a banner, which I drew by hand - you see my drawing skills are rudimentary, LOL! I colored them with Stabilo markers. Added a strip of Washi tape at the bottom. One layer CAS it is... Absolutely love those birds! You can get them directly from France HERE or in the US you can find them HERE and HERE Happy Stamping! You've never looked Younger

Hi Everyone,  I am taking a break from making endless Christmas cards... it's kind of refreshing. I also think I probably have enough of them for this year, yeahhh! It helps, to make them all year round! I needed a birthday card for my brother in law - he has a big one coming up. So it needs to be special! I figured the Katzelkraft dragon is just the right thing for him...... I paired him up with a STAMPlorations sentiment  - this one is just too funny! The ballons are by Avery Elle. I sponged a bit of black soot distress inks on them to make them stand out more. I did not do that for the bottom PP strip. I colored the dragon with Stabilo markers and added tiny dots of Stickles  - it does not show well in the picture.  You think you also need that dragon and don't want to order from France?  You can get him HERE . Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - V is for Vegan (I hope it counts - a dragon is an animal after
