So Suzy Alcohol Ink butterflies

Hi Everyone, this gorgeous butterfly is from the new  So Suzy Stamps  release. I was planning on turning it into a Monarch, but it did not quite work out that way. My stamp supplies: Monarch Butterfly ,  Simple Birthday I made myself a mask and stamped on Yupo paper. I heat embossed the butterflies with clear embossing powder. Started to dolor them in with alcohol inks Kept adding more, but some of the green moved outside the outlines. So I added more green on the outside, but in the end did not like it.    So I took a mini mister that I had filled with rubbing alcohol and spritzed it. I held the  paper upright, so the diluted ink started to run toward the bottom. Kind of cool, I thought. Wanted a bit more color, so I added pink splatters. I heat embossed the sentiment onto some wood paper in white. Added it to the card with foam tape. One tip: Be careful, when heat embossing Yupo - it is not paper, it is plastic and wa

Look deep into Nature

Hi Everyone, I made that card a little while ago, but have not yet shown it on my blog. It would be a pity, to forget about it ;) I colored the apples (A Stamp in the Hand) with markers. The worm I colored with Inktense pencils and attached him with foam tape. The sentiment is by Stamp Camp. I love it.  It reads: Look deep, deep into nature and then you will understand everything better (Albert Einstein) Made a frame with a stitched die and mounted it onto a green card base. Stamp Connection #28

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our 28th transatlantic get-together! This time it was Tanja's turn to pick the requirements: "tropical" We also have a guest with us this time and it is Maike from Maikreations  - her cards are cute and colorful and executed with perfection! On top of that  - they make you smile! Welcome Maike - great to have you with us! I used the pretty Paradise stamp set from Uniko for my card. Did some masking. Colored it with Inktense pencils. Added a strip of my favorite PP at the bottom and of course stamped the sentiment. Lets check out  Maike's  and  Tanja's artwork! Happy Stamping! Word Up Weekend with Stampotique

Hi Everyone, Stampotique is having Word Up Weekend over at  Facebook  - showing cards with words on them. Thankfully pretty all my cards have words on them! You can see, I am smitten with that majestic tree . I used it recently HERE . It is such a beautiful stamp! I stamped the birds - the are called  Birdy up  and water colored them with brush markers. Used a 1 inch punch  and arranged them on the tree. Took the tree stamp and stamped over them and then glued the inchies to the tree, lining up the branches. Stamped the sentiment . Added hot pink card stock as base layer. As a reminder - the current challenge is still going for another week - its all about inchies - you don't need to use Stampotique stamps to play along. Just come and have fun! Happy Weekend! Linking up with: Craft Rocket Challenge - animal Kingdom Moving along with the Times - Things beginning with "B" (birds)
