So Suzy - Dandelion

Hi Everyone, I am back today with another card I made with those wonderful stamps  So Suzy  carries.  I love this  dandelion  stamp. Never mind that I have a lot of dandelion stamps already, but I could not resist that one.  It also come with those 4 little seed pods. I masked a strip on the left side of my card and sponged distress inks in an ombre pattern. Over stamped the dandelion in the darkest blue and added the little seed pods. I took a gel pen and drew in white accents.  I took my Misti and stamped the sentiment - it is by  Audrey Hepburn  in white. I then moved the card a smidgen and stamped it again in black. This way you can read the sentiment much better. Lastly I added Stickles to get some sparkle. Hi Everyone, EDITED: apparently the SSD challenge was cancelled for this month. So sorry if you got excited to play along. Maybe next month. for the coming week we have a fun challenge for you here at Skipping Stones Designs - the theme is ANYTHING GOES For my card I am using this hilarious Skipping Stones Designs set called  Funny about Men : I had a scrap piece of curved card stock laying around and thought it would work great with lining up those men and I think I did - first I thought I would make a straight line of them, but I think this looks better.... Added the sentiment. I sponged the background above my curved panel with grey ink, Added the second part of the sentiment and some black splatters.  I used Washi tape for the colorful strip at the bottom and mounted my curved panel with foam tape. There are so many more possibilities with this set! I hope I inspired you and you'll play along with us! Linking up with: Addicted to

Joy Clair - Bee Kind

Hi Everyone, I am back with some cards I made from the latest Joy Clair release set Bee Kind. I heat embossed the honeycomb pattern and sprinkled Brushos on it and then spritzed with water. I added the flourishes and the bees. I also stamped the bees on vellum and on card stock and paper pieced them together.  As you can see, I also added Stickles to the wings to make them sparkle.  The stamp sets I used: Bee Kind , Butterfly Kisses    For my second card I also heat embossed the honeycomb pattern, but then smooshed distress inks onto the card. Let it dry. Added the sentiment - which is from the set  Butterfly Kisses . I mounted it with foam tape. The paper strip on the left is from an old envelope - you may want to check the inside of those envelopes you are getting - some of them have really nice patterns. Too pretty to throw out! Stamp Connection #16

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our sixteenth transatlantic get-together! This time it was Tanja's turn to pick the requirements: use Brushos (or similar pigment powders) And to make things more exciting Tanja invited Loll Thompson from Stamping with Loll to play along with us! Loll is an amazing designer I am sure you all have seen her brilliant work! Thanks Loll, for being part of our little endeavor! So I pulled out my Brushos. Staped a background stamp (ancient Stampin' up) on water color paper and heat embossed in white. Added Brushos and spritzed with water. Let it dry. Added the sentiment ( die by STAMPlorations) and the bird ( die cut ) and the "Happy" - also  STAMPlorations. Of course I

Muse Christmas Vision #58

Hi Everyone, I am back to stimulate you to pull out your Christmas supplies and play with us at the  Muse Christmas Vision! I played around here, trying to create a winter scene. Started with heat embossing the pine trees in the left bottom corner and then took the same stamp and stamped it in black - I think i spritzed it with water to get a more solid impression. I did some generational stamping an spritzing. Added some light purple and loosely colored in the  background I wanted a foggy feel to this and I think I succeeded. Lastly I added the deer die cuts (IO) and did some white outlines on the adults. Added the sentiment (STAMPlorations) EDITED for more clarification: I first heat embossed the tree in white at the bottom left corner. I then took the same stamp and stamped it in black. I did generational stamping, so the trees become grey with repeated stamping, which creates depth.    But I also think you could do the white embossing last - I don't

So Suzy - Marilyn Monroe

Hi Everyone, I am up on the So Suzy Blog today with a card I made with that delightfully snarky quote  by Marilyn Monroe.  The stamp comes with the pretty woman . I first die cut myself a stencil and sponged with distress inks. I the did a little stamp surgery and separated the woman form the sentiment. Took my Misti and did some generational stamping, just moving the card over to the left little bits. Added the sentiment. Completed the card with some strips of paper on the left and some sequins. Hope you liked this! Happy generational stamping!
