CASEing Christmas with a Crazy Bird

Hi Everyone, my crazy birds wanted to come out and play with me, so I took the little timid (or sassy?) one and gave him a hat so he won't get cold in the winter scene I put him in.... I embossed the background with an embossing folder. The sentiment is by Clearly Besotted and I added some Hero Arts snowflakes. Here is Mynn's fun snowman Holiday card - you can see that I kept pretty close to the original with my interpretation. I also added some puff paint to the border of my "landscape" and added Stickles to the hat. Almost Back..........

Hi Everyone, I am coming out of hiding really soon. I still have some vision problems, but it is slowly getting better. Yesterday I had another check-up and I do not need any more procedures on my eye. I had 4 so far and it was NOT fun, definitely NOT......Thanks to that, I also learned, that I will not hold up to torture. I'll admit to anything, whatever it was or not, I'll confess.  I want to thank all of you for your get well wishes, prayers and all those amazing, wonderful cards you sent me. Wow - I am so grateful for all the support and love you poured out to me. I am so touched.  Since its all good news I want to share this card with you, that I made a LONG time ago and it got published in the October issue of Craft Stamper Magazine! The theme was Arabian nights. The technique is heat embossing on vellum and colored with Copics. The peony stamp is by Stampendous and the sentiment is by STAMPlorations . The inspiration of this card came from the wonderful

Out Sick

Hi Everyone, I thought I 'll let you know why I dropped out of blog land all of a sudden recently and were not able to visit your blogs and admire you wonderful cards and leave comments. I really miss you all. I miss card making and my creative time in my card room. A big part of my life is all of a sudden missing..... One and a half weeks ago I developed acute vitreal detachment and 2 days later as a complication of  that a retinal tear causing a lot of bleeding into my eye. That totally took my out. I had two procedures in the meantime to seal the tear. The second was successful. Now the tear needs to heal. There is still a risk over the next weeks for additional tearing. I am not allowed to do anything, but sit around. No reading, rapid eye movements, lifting or anything. Besides that, I can barely see anything in my eye - still blood in there and humongo floaters. So I keep it short. Hopefully all will heal well and I will be back............

A2Z Scrapbooking September Challenge

Hi Everyone, its challenge time at  A2Z Scrapbooking ! For this month  we want you to create a shaker card.  I used that cute set  by  Hero Arts Elephant Stamp & Cut DC135   to make this card. I die cut the elephant a second time using fun foam, to give my card dimension and leave space for the sequins. It also give you a nice sturdy layer underneath and does not crumple during shipping. Added a googly eye to the shaker elephant and die cut the panel with a rectangular Simon Says die. The sentiment is by Papertry and the speech bubble is punched with a EK success punch.  So cute - I love it! I hope you will get a chance to join our  monthly challenge .    Remember - Hero Arts Products are required.  This challenge runs though the end of the month. You have a chance to win a $25 gift card to the a2z Scrapbooking Store. The  a2z Scrapbooking store   takes care of all your Hero Arts needs. You can also custom order just about all your cr
