Little Tangles and KIS

Neat and Tangled is celebrating and I just discovered that the current challenge is about to end. I needed some Thank You cards, so I decided to make a few for this challenge over at Little Tangles  - create a gift.  I took the diamond stamp from Neat and Tangled and heat embossed it in white. The round Thanks is also by Neat and Tangled - Everyday Circles.  I made two of each, slightly changing the  cars, with splatters on the first, twine on the second and sequins and silver string on the  third. Here you can see the three cards together: I put them in a clear gift box, together with the envelopes and added some more twine: I hope you like them! I am also adding them to the current KIS challenge - Ombre     Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes The Alphabet Challenge Blog - O for ombre Just Add ink - rainbow - All three cards together make a rainbow

Muse #82

Hi Everyone, I just got back from vacation - having missed my nightly card making session .... so I took some time this evening to get back into the swing of things! And what better than this weeks Muse challenge to start again. Bobby from Bits & Pieces made such a beautiful card - you can see it below. And here is my take on it: I liked the ombre coloring, which I kind of have here and the swirly pattern. The stamp I used is by Autumn Leaves - I have not used that set in  a while, although it is so pretty. I inked it up with a Kaleidocolor ink pad and spritzed the same colors around the stamp. Added some sequins, as you can see.  Here is Bobby's gorgeous card: And before I end I want to thank all of you for leaving me so many wonderful comments! I enjoyed them so much! I am still trying to catch up, but I try to visit you to over the next couple of days. I am also adding them to the current  Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - Anything Goe

The beautiful daffodil stamp is by STAMPlorations -  Boxed Blooms and Bold Sentiments. I heat embossed it in silver and colored it with Copics. The sentiment is from the same set. Some how this card turned into a Sympathy card - did not really plan to make one, but the end results fits that best. I hope I won't need it soon...... We have a generous sponsor this week - its The winner will receive 3 free digis of her choice! So come on over to the  ATSM challenge blog  and get some  inspiration from our wonderfully creative DT   and we hope you find time to join in the fun!

Dream Valley #89 Flowers

Its time for a new challenge at Dream Valley - the theme is Flowers.  You have two weeks to play with us. I pulled out this lovely Hero Arts poppy stamp from  Delicate Blossoms and heat embossed them onto watercolor paper. I wet the paper with water and then colored the poppies with water colors. If the paper is really wet, it gives a nice halo around the flowers. Although I think I need a bot more practice with that technique.  I still like the outcome! Added the sentiment  - Hero Arts Heart Felt Messages once the card was dry and added some splatters. I rounded one corner - it softens it a bit. And added some Stickles in the center of teh poppies.  For this challenge we have a wonderful sponsor: If you are looking for fun, cute and lovely digi stamps for your paper-crafting or web design projects,  The Paper Shelter  is your one-stop boutique! This growing  catalog  of high-quality digi stamps with many different kind of options offers a multitude of

Spotlight on Water Color Emboss Resist with STAMPlorations!

Hi, Cornelia here today, I want to share a water color emboss resist technique with you, using two of the sentiment builder sets - Thank You and Happy :                   The technique I used varies a bit and I have a tutorial for you below. For the Happy Birthday card I also used those circles form the Holiday Artsy set  and some sequins, as you can see. For the Thank You card I heat embossed oink vellum with that pretty little flower from the Vignette Eclectic Florals  and added distress Stickles to the center. I made a collage to not bore you with too many images.... You see my supplies - water color paper, Versamark, clear embossing powder and my ancient watercolors that I used when I was in school.....nothing fancy.... After clear embossing the sentiment I took a brush and applied some water color around the letters and misted them with water, using a mini mister. See fist picture in the second row. Added some more colors and misted a

Cure for the Monday Blues in Gold

My favorite neighbor is moving away....she also loves my card and is one of my best customers....I rummaged through my card supply to give her some as a good bye present and I made that tag for her to go with the cards: The inspiration for this I got from Taheera's  Cure For The Monday Blues  inspiration picture and since I used gold embossing powder I am also linking this up with  Addicted to CAS . STAMPlorations August challenge - Stamps and Die-Cuts

Its challenge time again!  For the whole month of August we at STAMPlorations would like you to get out your dies and combine them with your stamps - we do that all the time anyhow, right? And since Christmas is coming soon......... ;) I pulled out my Christmas supplies for this card. I just love this STAMPlorations set - I got that a while ago, with Christmas far in the future. Finally time to use it! it is called  Oh, Christmas Tree! I first spritzed the card with Smooches spray and then stamped the trees in various shades of green. I added the sentiment. First I stamped it directly onto the card, but the green shone through and you could not read the sentiment very well. So I stamped it again onto white card stock, cut it out and glues it over the stamped one. Lastly I added the die cut - its from Memory Box. I doubled it up with thin cardboard to make it more stable and mounted it with foam tape. Put some Stickles on 3 of the stars. Our team has amazing

Spotlight on Celebrate Artsy - Rainbow Medallions

Hi, its Cornelia here! Today I want to explore some options with this fabulous set from STAMPlorations called Celebrate Artsy . I have already played around with it in the past (click HERE if you want to see more),  it has so much potential! Recently over at Papertrey's Make it Monday Dawn McVey made a great video about rainbow medallions. I really wanted to try this out, but did not have time for it. Besides that I thought the STAMPlorations stamps are perfect for this and I could not have used them for Papertrey..... I did do this a little bit differently than Dawn - I have some pictures below. But first the cards: For the first card I used that stamp that in my eyes looks like a fish (I made a fish card with it previously) The sentiments are from the  Sentiment Builders set: Happy . I fuzzy cut the HAPPY. Rounded the corners of the card. For the second and third card I used the open oval and also  the  Sentiment Builders set: Celebrat
